How do I frame or edit a Bill of Entry?
Overview :
A Bils of Entry or SAD is the document used to clear goods
through customs. In order to frame an SAD, you need to do a file registration
first.
Step by step :
- Make
sure you have registered a file first.
- From
your Shipment Register screen, click on Bills of Entry.
- You
will be presented with the Imports Bill of Entry manager screen. To create
a new entry, click on New.
- Fill
out the screen. Most of the details will be pulled through from the File
Registration screen.
- Once
you have completed the details, press Ok.
The system will warn you if you have left anything out.
- You
will be presented with the Suppliers invoices screen next. The ShipShape
system allows you to load multiple suppliers
invoices with multiple currencies. To add a new suppliers invoice click on
New.
- Complete
the suppliers invoice screen. Please note that Dutiable Charges are for
charges over and above the invoice value. In most cases the Dutiable
Charges field should be left as 0.
- Once
you have added all your Suppliers invoices, you can close the screen at
the top left.
- The
next screen you will be presented with is the Bill of Entry lines screen :
